Due to OMNIlife's immediate need to house employees, an existing building was redesigned to accommodate 20 offices, 46 cubicles, and robotic functions.
The resulting 348,000 SF Gordon Food Service facility entailed 2-story executive offices, a cooler dock, freezer, dry goods storage, 6 pump fuel station, and 45 loading docks. Completion time was only 4 months with $264,000 returned in savings.
Dacon was subsequently asked to return and renovate 3 additional floors. Estimated close to cost, $7,000 was returned to the client. Formerly vacant for 5 years, this building became fully leased with Dacon designing the retail block.
This project necessitated understanding the value of design on existing conditions and tailoring additions to present buildings.
Structural advantages included side plate steel columns to lighten on-site tonnage, variable refrigerant flow, and high-efficiency HVAC systems to lessen environmental impact while allowing for infinite variability in temperature control.
Located in an office building north of Boston, Gentle Giant sought to maximize a new layout for operations, a call center, and executive offices until a second phase expansion.
With Boston-based roots extending back to 1928, MEC has never had a losing year based on the business practices of timeliness, fair price and quality execution. They sought an office design reflective of an accomplished heritage, modern innovation and open collaboration.
As a 25-year-old New England beer distributor, integrity flows in Quality Beverage’s blood. To accommodate corporate development, 3 areas needed to be addressed – a rebranding of the existing office space to enhance corporate culture, the addition of outdoor storage, and a loading station.

Given the immediate need for the company to relocate, an extension was designed enabling ancillary warehouse, labs, training and quality assurance spaces without impeding business while meeting the deadline.
