To maximize the site, this 128,000 SF retail, restaurant, and office building was repurposed from an existing structure, positioned at the highest elevation with full glass fronts open to east, south, and west vistas.
Partnering with the designer Nelson Architects, this resulted in a layout targeting 25% in productivity gains. Estimated close to cost, $15,000 was returned to the client.
Ingenuity and creativity keep Affordable Interior Systems (AIS) moving. One of the top 25 manufacturing firms in North America, AIS sought to centralize the company in 1 location to eliminate interplant transportation costs, poor communication, longer lead times, and duplication of work.

The design goal was to capitalize off distinctive geography and integrate historically significant architecture with modern living.
Its unique needs include a large range of humidity, separate irrigation systems using RO water and 24 hours a day grow lighting that is staggered to mimic different seasons of the year.
Keeping the existing steel structure and footprint, Dacon reconfigured the design of 2 office buildings with a 2nd-floor patio adding a 3rd floor, thereby increasing the size of 12,000 SF.
Working in tandem with Robbins’ financials, Dacon designed a 2-phase facility expansion plan including site configuration and split utilities. The result was a school that could grow with its students.
