The team selected the Wilcox Deep Bowl Chain Hung Pendant for the space. They customized these ceiling lights with generous 20″ shades and a Textured Black finish. The additional options of cast-guard-and-glass plus black-and-white cloth cords bring even more visual interest.
Because the lighting fixtures were a repetitive element in the space, the designer needed something that was large enough to ground the ceiling plane but also not too large to become a huge design feature.
Schnipper's has completed the design of this restaurant with tambour wood panels, by Surfacing Solution.
The back exterior stairs lead to the basement of the house. This walkway area between the stairs and the door allowed the enslaved workers to move between the coal vault at the far end, the back garden, and the basement of the house without walking through public areas on the first floor.
