Exterior of 4Marq Apartments by Wells Concrete. The $72.9 million project used precast construction to save time. Wells Concrete placed 476 pieces of wall panels with an acid etch finish. The horizontal stacked panels had punched openings and were supported on the CIP floor.
We were able to transform the empty cold shell into an open urban studio, a classic touch and use of materials, along with an energy created from the professional stylists to bring the LA vibe into downtown Walnut Creek.
Andre Kikoski Architect designed a simple Kiosk adaptation of one of the museum’s iconic geometric forms. The teardrop shaped plan is extruded into a sloping and gently torqued volume that is clad in a double skin of luminous faceted resin rain-screen panels layered over a stainless skin.
