This project is part of the USC Visions & Voices Art and Humanities Initiative and is a joint venture between the School of Architecture and the USC Library Division.
The clerestories provide diffuse studio light while the same structure acts as enclosure for a roof deck above. Stacked shelves accessible by movable ladders maximize storage in the small space. Shelves also act as a guardrail and privacy screen for the sleeping loft.

Pioneer Millworks Modern Farmhouse Clean Ash Raked Paneling
These windows were fitted with SCW620 interior storm windows to achieve the thermal goals for the project. The remaining openings received SCW2500 Historic Steel Replication windows, custom made to replicate the design and sightlines of the original steel windows and to pass historical review.
Astec's Architectural Bronze technology creates an out of the ordinary design with the existing decor. Astec-USA is located in Brooklyn, New York.
