Some major sustainable strategies used in the Seattle Public Library were energy and water conservation techniques, recycled building materials, long-lasting, low-cost lighting with motion sensors to reduce costs, triple glazed glass, rainwater storage for outdoor irrigation, waterless urinals, and a Tate raised access floor just to name a few.
