The goal of the Beauty Shoppe by Wildman Chalmers was to provide a functional office space with a hotel lobby feel, incorporating elements of hospitality into the office design.
Bank of New York Mellon asked Wildman Chalmers Design to help create an Innovation Center on the 12th floor of their Mellon tower in downtown Pittsburgh. Part of this project included featuring an art gallery.
Opening up the building with additional glass converted the building to a very welcoming facility with plenty of natural light and panoramic views while maintaining the best architectural features of this historic brick building.
