Local historical Newark touchstones are layered throughout both the hotel and first-floor bar and restaurant space, which was named Dutch's, after the famous mobster who frequented the building in the 1920s and 1930s.
The focal point of the AVTEC Dormitory is designed around the public spaces of the building, which include the main entry, arctic vestibule connection to the existing cafeteria and culinary academy, dorm offices, student lounges, and recreation rooms.
