Although the project was designed to respond to the local conditions of an equatorial desert, it proposes a new building type that helps create a strong sense of community and is capable of responding to different uses.

Mitigation plants can be found in areas on the property of the Austin Ranch community that are adjacent to drainage ways and along water edges, allowing them to act as a sediment and nutrient filter before drain water hitting our watershed.
Here is a close up of the pedestrian footbridge at Scotiabank Arena. The illumination is carried through the etchings in the acrylic.
