Sustainability Initiatives:
Fellowes sustainability efforts are anchored by the strategic drivers and overarching goals which will govern our actions for years to come.
We have identified three key drivers for identifying and prioritizing our sustainability strategy, goals and efforts:
1. Comply with Legislation and Directives – commit to meeting all local, regional, and national ESG mandates
2. Align with Customer Requirements & Expectations – prioritize our customers’ and end consumers’ sustainability focuses
3. Achieve Tangible Positive ESG Impacts – emphasize doing what is right, for Planet and People in a direct and measurable way
Our overarching sustainability goals are anchored around three strategic focus areas:
1. Minimize waste to landfill in all aspects of our operations, products, and packaging.
2. Enhance transparency and drive continuous improvement via comprehensive sustainability data.
3. Achieve energy and carbon emission reductions.
Fellowes has committed and begun efforts to reduce energy usage intensity and scope 1, 2, and 3 absolute location-based emissions by 10% by 2030. Additionally, by 2030 we are targeting the diversion of 95% of our corporate waste from landfill.
We have also implemented efforts related to our existing product lines and legacy products focused on Life Cycle Assessments and the maximization of products and packaging that are designed for recycling. We have already begun to pursue our goals of developing all new products with a minimum recyclability rate of 80% and elimination of all single-use plastic packaging (100% recyclable packaging) by 2028. We expanded this focus to legacy products as well with completed projects that brought over 80 existing product lines above the 80% recyclability rate.
