Smithey Law Group

This tenant fit-out for a newly established law firm reflects both the freshness of the brand and considerable reputation in their founders’ specific area of practice. Both of these fundamental aspects are balanced in the space through the use of both color/brightness and traditional/substantial materiality. The project also endeavors to project a welcoming nature while also maintaining privacy. In order to accommodate both of these conflicting attitudes, the program is broken into two parallel zones. The first zone comprises the sequence of spaces from reception to the conference room. This procession is visually connected by the use of the firm’s specific hue of blue. The second zone is an efficient set of private offices separated from the public realm by a kitchen and open work area.
