The unique exterior of the Pierson Library creates a long-lasting impression for guests and visitors. CUPACLAD provided its 201 Vanguard system for its functionality and sustainability features.
Modern elements are visible throughout the exterior of the library. The CUPACLAD® 201 VANGUARD rainscreen cladding system stands out due to its stainless steel clips, which are slightly visible at the bottom, contrasting with our natural slate. The back of terrace spandrels was “seeded” with aggregate to replicate the formed finish of the face and edges of the panel.
The building is emphasized by a provision of siding Zéphir® Evolution in horizontal lines that combine five colors of the range: red-orange, red, Violine, champagne, plus a glazed white lines that give a glossy touch to the façade.
St. Cloud Window worked closely with the architect, the National Park Service, and the Massachusetts Historical Commission on the development of Building 19’s fenestration, which comprises nearly 50% of the facade, to enclose the building while providing natural daylight and views.
