Floor-to-ceiling glass walls below the cantilevers offer views to the campus and the river, and can be seen from Hancher Bridge and points south. Lobby spaces and offices have shaded sunlight during the day.
The dynamic glass by SageGlass® tints on-demand, allowing professors to customize solar control for individual classrooms and labs. It also tints automatically to block sunlight on hot days and dramatically reduce energy demand in the building.
Curvilinear design peels and flows throughout the layout oh the American Constructors Office, connecting the lobby, conference rooms, common work areas, offices and breakroom and carrying the intricate wood slat detailing through the public spaces.
Special attention was given to the workstations, which are ergonomic and wellness-based. Sit-to-stand desks, ergonomically-adjustable desk chairs and task lighting that is dimmable and color tunable provide an opportunity for employees to customize their individual work spaces.
Utilizing the exposed concrete ceiling and mechanical systems, the Resistance Movement Pilates Studio reflects its raw urban setting while the carefully crafted and minimal finishes throughout provide a soft and harmonious balance, helping to create this unique studio space.
